VSPR continues to grow throughout Switzerland

10,197 tons of mixed plastic collected and more than 250 additional municipalities - the Association of Swiss Plastic Recyclers (VSPR) performed extremely well in 2023. The canton of Zurich collected the most household plastics with 1,634 tons. The canton of Uri led the way in terms of collection volume with 4.8 kg per inhabitant.

The Swiss Plastic Recyclers Association (VSPR) is already publishing its 5th monitoring report. The system operators affiliated with VSPR Monitoring were once again able to increase their collection volumes in 2023. In 2023, 10,197 tons of plastic were collected, 750 tons more than in the previous year. The VSPR monitoring certification system now includes the return of sorting residues to the domestic market.
