Competence Center for Plastic Recycling
For ten years, the Swiss Plastic Recyclers Association (VSPR) has seen itself as the voice of all companies, municipalities, cities and, above all, consumers who are committed to environmentally conscious and sustainable material cycles in the field of plastic recycling. It is committed to the collection and recycling of packaging. It does this in close cooperation with cantons, municipalities, companies and partners from the recycling industry. In addition to the recycling of household packaging, the VSPR also promotes the recycling of plastic waste from industry, commerce and agriculture.
Living the circular economy
The circular economy is at the heart of all activities, which is practiced at all levels and in all areas of plastic recycling and implemented using state-of-the-art technology. Innovation and constantly increasing recycling rates are of great importance.
Less waste, more raw materials
The VSPR is working specifically to ensure that all plastics from households and from the commercial and industrial sectors in Switzerland are primarily recycled. Plastics that cannot be recycled should be sent for qualified thermal recycling, where appropriate and possible. Plastic recycling is standardized according to uniform criteria and quality requirements.
The association paves the way for the circular economy in the field of plastics recycling and is committed to simple and modern solutions for conserving plastic resources. This brings added value for society, the environment and climate protection. It also develops new concepts for waste prevention and promotes innovative recyclate applications.
